Finish every level with something you built.
Host a Website on AWS
Level 1 capstone: launch an EC2 instance, host a website with a custom domain pointed through Route 53, and store assets in S3 — the first project in every cloud engineer's portfolio.
Scalable, Secure Cloud Network
Level 2 capstone: a VPC with public and private subnets, a load-balanced and auto-scaled web tier, a managed database, CloudWatch monitoring and the whole stack provisioned from a CloudFormation template.
CI/CD Pipeline for a Containerised App
Level 3 capstone: a Dockerised application deployed to Amazon EKS through a Jenkins or GitHub Actions pipeline, with its infrastructure defined in Terraform and health, cost and performance monitored end to end.
What you will have built by graduation.
Host a Website on AWS
EC2, S3 and DNS — the first project in every cloud portfolio.
Deploy a Secure Cloud Network
VPC, subnets and IAM, locked down the way production networks are.
Build a Scalable Web Application
A load balancer and Auto Scaling in front of a real application.
Create a Cloud Backup System
S3 and AWS Backup, so nothing important is ever lost.
Deploy a Containerised Application
Docker and Amazon EKS, from image to running pods.
Automate Infrastructure
Terraform and CloudFormation: infrastructure defined as code.
Build a CI/CD Pipeline
GitHub Actions and AWS, shipping code the way engineering teams do.
Aligned with recognised AWS certifications.

Know what you need.
Where to start
Basic: basic computer literacy only, no AWS experience needed.
Intermediate: Basic, or a placement test on EC2, S3, IAM and AWS networking basics.
Advanced: Intermediate, or a placement test on VPCs, load balancing, RDS and CloudFormation.
Where graduates go next
Advanced graduates are ready for cloud engineer, DevOps engineer and cloud administrator roles, and can sit AWS certification exams aligned to each level.
Before you apply.
Do I need experience to join?
No. Basic starts from zero and only needs basic computer literacy. If you already have IT, networking or cloud experience, ask admissions about a placement test so you can join Intermediate or Advanced.
Which level should I join?
Start with Basic if you are new to cloud computing. Join Intermediate if you already understand AWS fundamentals, EC2, S3 and IAM and want to build and scale real network infrastructure. Join Advanced if you are comfortable with VPCs, load balancing and CloudFormation and want to automate infrastructure, containers and CI/CD pipelines. Admissions can give you a short placement test if you are unsure.
How long is each level and what does it cost?
Basic is 2 months at ₦200,000. Intermediate is 3 months at ₦300,000. Advanced is 3 months at ₦400,000.
What will I be able to do after each level?
After Basic you can deploy and manage basic AWS resources such as EC2 and S3, and host a live website. After Intermediate you can design, build, monitor and maintain production-style AWS network infrastructure. After Advanced you can automate infrastructure with Terraform and CloudFormation, containerise and orchestrate applications with Docker and Kubernetes, and build a working CI/CD pipeline.
Will training cost me money on AWS?
No. You practice in MEL-managed AWS lab accounts with billing alerts and usage limits, so you can focus on learning without worrying about cloud charges.
Does this training prepare me for AWS certification?
Yes. Basic aligns with AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Intermediate with AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, and Advanced with AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer – Associate. Certification exam fees are separate from MEL training fees, and we help you prepare for the exam.
What do I need before the first class?
Basic computer literacy and a laptop, ideally with at least 8GB of RAM (16GB preferred) so you can comfortably run labs. A basic understanding of networking is an advantage but not required for Basic.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. You receive a MEL Technologies certificate of completion when you finish a level, separate from any AWS certification you choose to sit for.
How are classes delivered and assessed?
Classes are live and instructor-led, taught by certified, experienced trainers, with real hands-on AWS labs rather than slides alone. You are assessed through quizzes, labs and a capstone project you demo live.
How do I apply and pay?
Complete the application form at the bottom of this page or message us on WhatsApp. Our payment terms and conditions are linked in the cloud engineering benefits section.
